Ever had a moment when writing a card where you have NO IDEA what to write? Yeah so have we! With hundreds of notes being sent weekly, you could say we’ve become a bit of an expert at what to write or include in a personalized message. We’ve seen it all, from a funny quip to a heart-felt expression of solidarity during hard times. We love seeing it all and want to help each of you know what to say when you can’t.

Valentine’s Day. A day that is often celebrated with couples, close friends and family. Well what about all your work buddies or employees? Valentine’s, yes, is about love. But it doesn’t always have to be romantic love that is celebrated. It could be about the love of a team that is willing to give their 100% to a task, or a co-worker who makes you feel like you’re a part of something bigger than themselves. It’s about the love and appreciation we have for our employees who help us realize our dreams into a reality, it’s about a boss who has taken a chance on you to work with and grow with. It’s the type of love that HR would term, “employee appreciation”.

Boy do we have a box collaboration for you! We did our first Valentine's Day collection release January 19th, but the crown jewel curated box was released January 26th. Brightbox is excited to announce a limited-edition box called the Bestie Box. The Bestie Box was created in conjunction with Kristin B. Hodson who is a Clinical Social Worker and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist that focuses on healthy sexual habits.

Leslie Knope has said it best, “February 14th is about celebrating romance. But February 13th, Galentine's Day, is about celebrating lady friends. It's wonderful and should be a national holiday.” With that being said, Galentine’s Day is just around the corner, so to make it extra special with all your girls, whether that’s a friend, your sister, daughter, niece, or other female figure in your life, here are some activities that you can do to celebrate while incorporating each other’s love languages!

In a vicious cycle, it seems that after the hustle and bustle of HallowThanksChristmasNew Years there is a drop in “busy” cheer and a rise in New Year fears and tears. 

Whether it was the fact that the Holidays forced us to push our feelings aside in the effort to keep family members happy, cabin fever, or just the fact we’re missing out on some natural vitamin D, seasonal depression seems to take a toll on everybody in January.

As of September 7th we will be joining with the ROMA®️ Foundation to collaborate on a charity campaign called, “Give Poverty the Boot!” with the goal to send out at least 10,000 boots by December.
